Club History
Newry and District Anglers arose out of the Newry, Bessbrook and District Anglers which has ceased to function in 1955.

In 1964 a number of fishermen from the area met with a view of reviving the club, the club at this time was mainly coarse angling and hosted the Ulster open for a number of years, in the late 1970's there was a break in the club and the resulted in the Newry & District Anglers Association directing all it's efforts on developing game angling in the area.

The club has evolved over the years to it's present format and welcomes anglers from all areas. The club membership has been held at a reasonable cost with no increase in the last number of years, while still maintaining quality fishing on the clubs waters.

The management Committee welcome the views of all Anglers and are happy to answer any question you may have.  contact us.
